Global Supply Manager - LED Lighting Finished Goods

Description

This position requires a commitment to work independently to drive change, and will primarily focus on LED Lighting Supply Assurance on behalf of Katerra Lighting. As a Global Supply Manager with Katerra Lighting, you will be working in a dynamic, fast paced environment working closely with Katerra Lighting Sourcing team, R&D team, Sales team,  and external suppliers in the procurement of LED Lighting Finished Goods to support our Supply Chain expertise corporate vision. Within our team environment, you will serve as the primary Supply Chain representative working on development finished goods forecast, collection of supply commitment, development planning strategy satisfying different customers need, and  outline the path forward for Finished Goods manufacturers to execute the supply.  In joining our diverse Supply Chain team, you will have the opportunity for continued personal and professional growth and development.  Some travel to other Katerra locations will be required.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the Finished Goods Planning & Supply Strategy satisfying both internal and external customer needs
• Own the supply efficiency/capacity optimization proposal and drive for decision,  and collaborate with cross functional team and manufacturers for execution
• Communicate with sales and understand customer forecast, and output Finished Goods Forecast and communicate with manufacturers on a regular base
• Collect Supply Commit, and identify supply risk and areas to improve
• Supervise Manufacturers Clear to Build reporting and focus on components supply sufficiency in industry supply constrain
• Perform Due Diligence for mitigate the Finished Goods supply risk, and escalate to sourcing and management for help in time
• Lead Finished Goods Manufacturers performance review in supply management
• Support Commodity Risk buy by providing components forecast
• Own department ISO procedures related to vendor maintenance processes and annual reviews


Basic Qualifications:

- Minimum 10 years of Finished Goods Planning experiences, or Global Supply Manager Experiences in LED lighting industry or EMS
- Aggressively Deliver Result in a professional approach
- Industry related Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Expertise with Microsoft office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Strong English verbal, written and presentation skills

- Excellent financial, people management, negotiating and mentoring skills

Preferred Qualifications

 (these are the “would be nice to have, but not a deal breaker” skills for the role)

- Factory PMC , or materials planning background will be a plus
- Global Supply Chain experience managing cross functional teams in a fast pace and dynamic environment
- Experience with continuous improvement and Six Sigma processes
- ERP and PLM software system experience (SAP preferred)

Global Commodity Manager – Mechanicals

Description

This position requires a commitment to work independently to drive change, and will primarily focus on Mechanical Components Sourcing on behalf of Katerra Lighting. As a Global Commodity Manager with Katerra Lighting, you will be working in a dynamic, fast paced environment working closely with Katerra Lighting R&D team, Sales team, Procurement Team, and external suppliers in the procurement of Mechanical Components to support our sourcing expertise corporate vision. Within our team environment, you will serve as the primary Supply Chain representative working on development of sourcing strategy, forecasting commodity pricing trend, making strategic buying decision, and conducting negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions for projects of various sizes to support these areas.  In joining our diverse Supply Chain team, you will have the opportunity for continued personal and professional growth and development.  Some travel to other Katerra locations will be required.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the corporate sourcing strategy for assigned commodities
• Manage relationships between all Katerra teams and all stakeholders
• Initiate, negotiate and maintain supplier agreements and pricing schedules
• Own the supplier selection process and profitability of assigned commodities
• Control material benchmark variance relative to PPV
• Own supplier relationship including development, costs, business terms, quality improvement, and performance evaluations (QBR)
• Communicate and follow-up on material request for quotes
• Negotiate for Commodity market advantages
• Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvements in quality, cost, service and technology
• Set standard costs and work with cross-functional team as necessary to address material set-up, costing and price issues
• Ability to properly identify and escalate problem solving in supply execution
• Drive product specifications and innovations with Katerra Lighting R&D and Finished Goods Manufacturers in order to influence technical design decisions
• Own department ISO procedures related to vendor maintenance processes and annual reviews

Basic Qualifications:

- Minimum 8 years of Mechanical Components Commodity Management experiences in EMS or LED Lighting industry
- Tooling or Mechanical Engineering major  from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experiences

- Expertise in material application of Plastics Particles and various metal materials
- Extensive negotiation experiences of multi-year supply agreements with global suppliers and a proven track record of supply cost reduction
- Expertise with Microsoft office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Excellent financial, people management, negotiating and mentoring skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Working experiences of Tooling Design or Engineering in a EMS supply chain, or Consumer Electronics supply chain, or LED lighting Supply chain

Description

This position requires a commitment to work independently to drive change, and will primarily focus on Finished Goods Sourcing on behalf of Katerra Lighting. As a Finished Goods Procurement Manager with Katerra Lighting, you will be working in a dynamic, fast paced environment working closely with Katerra Lighting R&D team, Sales team, GCM, GSM and external suppliers in the procurement of Finished Goods to support our sourcing expertise corporate vision. Within our team environment, you will serve as the primary Supply Chain representative working on development of Finished Goods sourcing strategy, optimize material cost and MVA, and negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions for projects of various sizes to support these areas.  In joining our diverse Supply Chain team, you will have the opportunity for continued personal and professional growth and development.  Some travel to other Katerra locations will be required.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the corporate sourcing strategy for Finished Goods during whole product life cycle -from NPI stage to EOL
• Manage relationships between all Katerra teams and all stakeholders
• Initiate, negotiate and maintain supplier agreements and pricing schedules

Lead R&D team to design and release LED lighting fixtures. Need to manage the development projects to meet the goals including time to market, quality and cost. Be responsible for technical solutions and deliverables. Be responsible for developing the design team's capabilities

Responsibility of the role

- Responsible for luminaries architecture design and give innovative solutions for product development;
- Lead team through all phases of the product development process to meet project goals including time to market, project quality and financial target;
- Manage project schedules, resource assignment, project/product cost;
- Responsible for technical documents, tooling review , approval and management;
- Take the technical ownership to support internal/external customer and production;
- Develop design team's capabilities to enable new product development, OEM product validation and support existing products sustaining;
- Develop and maintain a valuable network with internal and external partners;
- Participate and contribute in defining the strategy of the category, the technology roadmap and the innovation strategy;
- Benchmark new solutions from competitors and suppliers;
- Keep up to date on new updates regarding change affecting lighting fixtures (rules, regulation and technologies);
